Adam slammed his front door after leaving Chelsea’s house. He couldn’t believe that she was actually going to go out on a date with that prick Bristow. Sure he was aware that he had no reason to hate the guy, but damn if he didn’t dislike the hell out of him for asking Chelsea out.

The knowledge that he was acting like a jealous asshole only made him more irritated. He knew that he had treated her like dirt and acted as though she were nothing but a bed partner. What she didn’t realize though, was that no matter how amazing it was being with her, it just wasn’t in the cards for him. He’d had his chance at happiness and like a stubborn ass, he had blown it. No, Chelsea was much better off without him. That much he was sure of. He just wished that she was better off without him while not dating other people. It was a selfish emotion, but it was an honest one.

He needed to get out of the house. Deciding a long and rigorous workout at the gym was just what he needed, he was headed toward his bedroom to change when he heard his phone ring.

Pulling it from his pocket he flipped it open. “Hello?”

“I’d sound a little happier to hear from me if I were you, Collins.” A casually friendly voice said from the other end of the phone.

“Taylor? What’d you find?” Adam asked the private detective he hired.

“Well…no hello, how are you? Okay, fine have it your way. I know you’re anxious to find this guy. It just so happens that’s why I’m calling. I’ve got a lead.”

Adam was in no mood for games. “Out with it then. I am paying you for information, not your witty conversation skills. Did you find where he was holed up?”

“No, I said I had a lead, not his location.”

“Listen here, you shit, I’m paying, you got that? Now what the fuck did you find out?”

“All right, cool your jets, big guy. I was just playing with you. Here’s the deal, Bianchi is supposed to meet with his father later tonight. At some little out of the way restaurant in some hick town on the outskirts of the city.”

“How would you know this? No one’s stupid enough to spill any information on the Bianchis. Who talked?”

“One of the guards, he has a little…shall we say…addiction that he doesn’t want anyone to know about. I, being the great detective that I am, found out about his little obsession. The stupid guy actually thinks it’d be better to betray the Bianchi family, than have anyone learn his secret.”

“What’s his secret?” Adam’s asked, his curiosity getting the better of him.

“Let’s just say he would like me more than my sister. Regardless, when I approached him with knowledge of pictures, he was willing to talk really fast.”

“Jesus, you took pictures of him with other guys? I asked you to spy on Bianchi, not get into the porn industry.”

“Relax. I didn’t really have any pictures.
